You can start discussions by clicking on the "COMMENT" button below and leave messages for your MB. Remember, everyone will be able to read the discussions - so feel free to use some of the questions from other MB's for your own dialogues. Also - you must click on the "ANONYMOUS" button before publishing your comment for it to save on the comment page.
I'll start your discussions with the following question:
"Find out your Music Buddy's most challenging piece he/she has ever learned"
On another note (ha ha :0) I've put two new LINKS on the blog. Check out the London College of Music website. They have all of their current syllabi online for your review (and have many categories of exams to suit a variety of interests). As well, I've added the APTA FESTIVAL link. Registration and the syllabus is open as of today's date ... we'll be registering asap for the upcoming festival in April (so decisions on pieces and programs must be finalized before the end of January).
Make sure to post your comments and check back often (once or twice per week) to see if your MB's have answered your questions or left some for you to answer! And remember - have fun and play well!

This message is for Laura: "I was just wondering what your favourite piece is that you have learned in the last year? Who was the composer and why was it your favourite?" -From Sarah
This message is for Matthew:
"Well,my musical interests are mostly writing compositions from famous musicians.I usally use a piece from a musician and use it as a skeleton.Ms.Stephanie thaught me how to do that. Thanks Ms.Stephanie! And I usally prefer sight reading better than playing by ear unless it's a song i am quite familiar with. Here's a question for you Matthew:who is you're favourite musician and why?
-Syameena
This is a message for Sarah:
I was just wondering........what is your favourite piece and why?
- Syameena
To Syameena
My favorite composer is probably Kabalevsky, his songs have a nice jump and are very lively [such as Galop] they are enjoyable to play and learn. This is a question for you.
"What type of songs do you compose?"
-Matt
Hmm, good question:) I am playing a song right now called "Andaluza" I enjoy the different sections of it. There is a faster, difficult and more minor part, and than a softer, easier and prettier part. I enjoy the good contrast! Right now that is probably my best piece right now! What about you? Do you have a favorite piece and a reason for it?
From Sarah
The above message is for Syameena
