Our Musical Community!

Over the past 7 years I have grown to view 'our' studio as a MUSICAL COMMUNITY, where we all participate in learning, growing and giving musically - and where special relationships are formed among myself, my students and their families. It is a priviledge to be a part of such a talented and dedicated Musical Community and I am looking forward to what September will bring for us!

Here are some thoughts for our upcoming Musical Calendar:

1. A "Music From Around the World" Theme to help us create, explore and grow our musical vocabulary.

2. A "Piano Buddy" ... a randomly chosen 'partner' from within our Studio that you will share at least ONE music related event, favourite piece, composer/author from one or more musical eras, duet or supportive commentary with. Be creative - but get to know your Buddy!

3. Hosting an In-Studio Festival ... inviting a guest adjudicator to critique individual/duet performances

4. Inviting a Concert Pianist to be a Guest Speaker/Performer at a Group Lesson.

5. Taking a field trip to the Cantos Piano Museum ...

6. Taking a field trip to a student's Performance Level Certification Recital ...

Those are just a few ideas - please feel free to add some more!
